They don't publish for free. They charge for everything. I am currently looking for somewhere to proof read and assist in the editing, punctuation and so forth, everywhere I've looked wants like 12 hundred bucks, that's crazy. Once that's done, I'm in business. Did they help you with your cover? Thanks again for your help. Gina

Sorry, I haven't gotten the hang of this forum yet. I tried to find your last message to reply but couldn't. Then I just chose reply to your first and here I am. quote: They don't publish for free. If you haven't committed to that publisher, don't. Take alook at Lulu.com. They ask only that you format your page size to the book size. They have wizards to do the book and cover. No charge.
They don't do editing. I had to do that myself. Word to the wise, if you are going to self-publish -- don't pay for an edit. No agent nor mainline publisher will accept your book if it is self-published. You have to decide for yourself if you want to publish now or work for months, perhaps years to find a big publisher.
If you are looking for a career -- don't self-publish. If you want a book - do it. There are lots of free info sites on the web for editing tips. Take your time.
I took two years to write and one year to edit/revise my novel. The last year was the worst.
