When someone has requested to connect with you, you will see a flashing icon below your picture on the member login area. Click there! If you'd like to accept the connection select the little green check mark, if you'd like to decline it select the little red x. Then, select update.

There might be an extra screen asking you what type of connection that is (friend, co-worker...), just follow the promptings on your screen, make a selection and click update.

To add your book to your profile simply do the following:

Go to your personal profile page and click on the "My Books" tab. Next click on "New Ad" to create an ad for your book. Now it's just a matter of following the promptings on your screen. Select a category, add your contact info, book title, book description, upload a picture of the book cover, and save when you're done.

Connecting is a big part of networking, so here's what you do:

When you find someone you'd wish to connect with go to his or hers profile page. Above their picture you'll see a tab called 'Connections' put your mouse over that tab and select "Request Connection". A little box will pop up where you can write them a message requesting the connection.

To update your profile and share with others what you do simply do the following:

Go to your personal profile page by clicking on "My Profile" on the User Menu. Click on the "Edit" tab right above the picture and select "Update Your Profile". You'll see several different tabs, just browse through those tabs and fill in the blanks as you please. Once you're done select "Update" towards the bottom of the page.

Go to that persons personal profile page, above their picture you'll see a tab called "Messages", put your mouse over there and select "Send Private Message" to send them a message via the website, or "Send Email" to send them an email.

Type in the subject of the message, type in your message and select "Send Message".

To update your personal profile image and get rid of the ugly silhouette picture simply do the following:

Go to your personal profile page by clicking on "My Profile" on the User Menu. Click on the "Edit" tab right above the picture and select "Update Your Image". Click on "Browse" to find the picture in your computer and then click "Upload".

Your image file can be maximum (width x height - size): 200x500 - 100 KB
