Protect your original work! When your book is officially registered with the copyright office, you will have the right to seek damages if a party uses your work without your permission. It is your right to gain control and have the full force of protection for your valuable, original material.

Next Steps

Your book will be officially registered with the U.S. copyright office, issued a copyright number, and further protected under copyright law. After your book is completed, we will send two physical copies of your book to the U.S. federal copyright office in Washington, D.C. While the registration number is not printed in the book, you will receive a certificate of registration after the process is completed. The process typically takes 6 to 12 months to complete.

1 year - Softcover Channel Distribution
Softcover Channel Distribution is a critical element to commercial success. Distribution ensures that many retailers world-wide will post your book on their Web site bookstores and can they can order your book directly through their own suppliers. Along with distribution, the addition of an ISBN to your book is probably the easiest way to demonstrate your book’s professionalism while offering more retail opportunities. The ISBN has become common-place and is an expected designation in today’s book world. Most retailers will not order a book without an ISBN. An ISBN identifies a title or edition from a specific publisher in order to allow retailers, libraries, universities, distributors and individual consumers to efficiently market and purchase books.

Next Steps

This service includes obtaining an ISBN and making your title available for sale in the retail channel for one year. The ISBN is a 13-digit number specific to your book only – no other item in existence will share your ISBN. We’ll register your ISBN for you so it will be included on the copyright page and on the back cover with a worldwide compatible barcode for modern scanners. We will obtain an ISBN for you without delay in the publication of your book. After your title is released, it will be available for order at more than 25,000 retail outlets worldwide.
